How investments in sector partnerships can help our economy thrive.

To help more individuals access the training they need to succeed in the current labor market, employers across a range of industries have been partnering with community college leaders and other stakeholders to remove barriers to success and provide flexible career pathways for millions of Americans.

Industry partnerships are often formed when an employer or group of employers identify a workforce need and resolve to find an effective way to provide timely, high-quality training to residents in the surrounding community.  Due to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant funding, students across 700 community colleges earned more than 320,000 industry-recognized credentials over four years.
